Nervous? Definitely. Worried? Just a bit. Excited beyond belief? Probably once I get on the plane and finish my goodbyes. Is this real? I’m not really sure yet, I’ll find out soon though.
The fairy tale I have dreamed of is quickly ticking closer. In 10 hours I will be in layover awaiting the arrival of my plane to Dublin. And in 30 hours, I will be in my new home for the next eight weeks. Hopefully the weekend will give me plenty of time to adjust to my new schedule and home. Monday is a bank holiday so I won’t actually start work until Tuesday which is lucky for me.
As I have said before I am looking forward to learning more about marketing in the technology industry but specifically website design which is my company’s largest product. But I am most excited to meet people and to learn from the different life experiences that will differ greatly from my own. My desire is to learn about quirks and culture and tradition from conversations, maybe over a delicious meal in a pub surrounded by authentic Irish music.
Even though this is my dream I will miss everyone that I leave in the States. Thank you for your continued prayers and support!
I'll keep you in my prayers...although I'm super jealous :) I hope you have a safe trip and that while your "learning about culture and tradition over a meal in a pub" that you don't drink too much cuz those Irish people can get a little crazy :)
